Not especially soft, but surprisingly comfortable

Bought this for layering on our bed and have been very happy with it so far. When we initially took it out of the dryer, both my husband and I were worried it was going to be too heavy for our purposes but it actually is a fairly lightweight blanket; great for layering in any season. I admit I was expecting a softer texture when ordering a cotton blanket, but it is surprisingly comfortable. I only wish it was a little bigger, as I can't tuck it under my mattress to keep it in place.
